Man, I still can’t believe how wild it’s been trying to snag one of those Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. Like, seriously, they’re scarcer than unicorns. I don’t even like unicorns that much, but gosh, these things just vanish! Poof! One second they’re there, the next they’re gone, just as quick.
Okay, so it seems like there’s some hope, or maybe not, depends on how you look at it. Best Buy and Walmart supposedly have some in stock, but who really knows. Their websites are weird, sometimes they show it, sometimes nothing. I keep checking, because, why not? Maybe today’s the day I get lucky.
Here’s the rundown: there’s the regular Switch 2 console, and then there’s the bundle with Mario Kart World. I’m a sucker for bundles, even though I already own Mario Kart — who doesn’t? Anyways, the console alone sets you back $449, but if you’re feeling fancy or just can’t say no to bundles like me, it’s $499 for the whole shebang. MSRP and all that jazz.
Oh, almost forgot — the specs! Because apparently those matter? The Switch 2 sports this nice 7.9-inch screen, and it’s, uh, thicker or thinner, I forget. But it’s got that 1080p thing going on, seriously cranking it up from the original Switch. And dock it? Play in 4K. Like I even notice, but some tech wizard out there probably cares.
Honestly, if you spot one at some crazy marked-up price, just chill. They’ll probably stick to MSRP eventually. I wouldn’t give resellers the satisfaction. Oh, and tip for the wise: Ensure you’re buying direct from Walmart or Best Buy. The internet sometimes plays tricks, slide you right into a reseller’s hands if you’re not careful.
And hey, if you’re not into this frantic Switch 2 chase, there are other bargains out there. You could dive into some PC gear deals or whatever. I usually roll eyes at storage deals, but some folks love that stuff. Check out monitors, GPUs, or CPUs if you want, but my heart’s still kind of stuck on that Switch.
Life’s funny, isn’t it?
