So, Ubisoft just dropped this summer roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and it’s all kinds of things. Like, on July 29 they’re doing this update where, apparently, you can up your game level from 60 to 80. Imagine that. New game plus is joining the party too, along with heaps of shiny trophies and achievements. Oh, and more updates in September. I’m not sure if I’m ready for all this.
Next week’s literally jamming up the game stack. You get to amp up with new Knowledge Ranks and Mastery Skills. Sounds fancy, right? They’re adding cool upgrades for Hideouts with Heiji’s Forge. What’s a forge without a bit of flair, anyway?
July 29. Mark it down. That’s when Project 3 rolls out. Don’t ask me what that fully means, but it’s supposedly packed with fresh resources and Animus-themed rewards. Ubisoft’s blog post said something about juggling this project with the previous ones, without deadlines lurking over your shoulder. Sweet relief!
New game plus, though. It’s one of those exciting yet awkward reboots. You finish the final story mission and bam, you can dive back in. Except, they hit reset on your story progression. But don’t panic—your level, gear, skills, and Hideout stuff hang tight. It’s like rewatching a show, pretending it’s the first time or skipping those intro bits. And no pesky tutorials on your do-over. Thank goodness.
Then there’s an early September update, focusing more on quality-of-life tweaks. No clue what that means specifically, but it’s there. Moving forward to September 16—big expansion thingy called Claws of Awaji. If you pre-ordered, you’re in for free. More deets on August 12 during a Reddit AMA, so maybe we’ll get some juicy insights then?
That’s pretty much it. Lots happening. Maybe too much. Or maybe that’s just me. Anyway, exciting times if you’re into this stuff.
