So this game started out as a Warcraft 3 mod. No joke. People loved it so much it sort of became its own thing. And let me tell ya, since 2017, when it was just a baby in early access, it’s been growing — like, fully launched in 2021. They’ve been pretty on top of it too, with updates and tweaks and whatnot every month. Keeps things fresh, ya know?
For those scratching their heads about what this game even is — here’s the deal: You basically gotta protect your king from these waves of baddies while trying to mess up the other team. Simple, right? But oh boy, there’s more. Like juggling resources, upgrading towers and your little troops. That’s the core, I guess. Or not. I dunno, depends how deep you wanna go.
And, get this — cross-play is a thing, so if your buddy’s on Steam and you’re on Epic, you can still team up. Love that. There’s solo stuff and co-op stuff too, campaigns like Floating Isle and Desert Ridge, but those ain’t free. Just a heads up.
