Man, so today I stumbled across some news about this PS5 game, Stellar Blade. Not that it was on my agenda; I was just supposed to be adulting, but you know how that goes. Anyway, turns out there’s this update. Didn’t flip the whole game on its head or anything, but it tidied up a few things. Something about giving players a smoother ride, I guess.
Okay, so… what’s this update about? Well, most of the tweaks are for both PC and PS5. They patched up Photo Mode—who even uses that a lot, right?—but they made it so picking a logo is a bit more intuitive. Then there’s this thing with outfits—like the Fluffy Bear and Pink Bear, which makes me wonder who dreams up these names. Maybe someone got sidetracked by a toy store.
Oh, and they finally handled that annoying bug in the Demogorgon battle. Apparently, if you had “Ranged Auto Aim” off, good luck aiming at all. But now that’s fixed! Hooray, right? Sort of?
Here’s the list of stuff they fixed, straight from Shift Up’s post (on X, of all places, because Twitter wasn’t enough):
– The Photo Mode now shows a logo control indicator. Why this wasn’t already a thing? No clue.
– If you bought the ‘Polarized Sunglasses’ from Clyde’s shop and got trapped there—freedom is yours again.
– Eve’s hair sometimes vanished in the final Elder Naytiba scene if she wore the ‘Fluffy Bear’ or ‘Pink Bear’ outfits. Hair is back. Phew.
– Korean voice-over in the chat with Clyde got cut off. I guess we prefer full sentences?
– Eve’s arm looking funky in Photo Mode—particularly in those fancy ‘Black Pearl’ or ‘Red Pearl’ outfits—is now fixed.
For the PS5 geeks, in the 1.013 update, they sorted the camera mess in the Demogorgon battle. With “Ranged Auto Aim” off, your camera no longer takes a solo adventure. Go team?
And that’s the download. Or upload. Whatever.
