Sure, here’s a rewrite:

Hey, so there’s this game called Exo-Calibre I stumbled upon the other day. It’s from eastasiasoft and Vampixel. And it’s like, this old-school 2D shoot ‘em up thing on the PS5. Yeah, throwback vibes, right? Anyway, I decided to give it a whirl. You’re basically piloting these cool exo-mechs and shooting down rogue AI drones. As one does on a normal Tuesday.
So, there are three pilots you can pick from. Each one’s got its own shooting style and melee weaponry—choices, choices. I think I spent more time deciding who to play as than actually playing. Oops.
There are a few modes to mess around with. Story Mode gives you more health and unlimited lives because, well, sometimes you just wanna chill without dying every five seconds. Then there’s Arcade Mode which is… not so forgiving. Less health, fewer lives. No pressure or anything.
Oh, and Boss Rush Mode. You get to fight all the bosses, one after another. Sounds intense? It is. And then Time Rush, where you hustle through as fast as you can. It’s like a chaotic test of speed and skill. My speed? Not so great, honestly. And skill? Let’s not talk about it.
Funny story: I accidentally shot a scrap piece thinking it was an enemy. Turns out, shooting scraps is actually useful. Break them apart, collect more scraps, and use them for upgrades. You know, increase damage, get extra lives… all that jazz. Upgrades make the game a little less “why am I dying so much?” and a bit more “I got this, maybe.”
Controls are super simple. You move with the left stick, shoot with R2, and slash with Square. Oh, and boosting! Use L2 to go faster—it’s a lifesaver when dodging or crashing (don’t ask how I know).
So, trophies! Yeah, it’s got a whole list. One Platinum, plus a bunch of Gold and Silver. Includes fun challenges like smashing through 20 enemies or reflecting 100 bullets. Reflecting bullets sounds cooler than it is, trust me. Oh, and you can download it on both PS4 and PS5 without paying extra—gotta love a good deal.
All in all, Exo-Calibre’s a fun nostalgic ride. Definitely worth the 7 bucks, just for the nostalgic plunge alone. And that’s about it. Now, if someone asks why I spent my weekend piloting exo-mechs and smashing AI, I can show them this review. Or not. Anyway, ciao!

Hope you enjoy it!
