Oh man, so the Jackbox Party Pack 11 is hitting Xbox soon, and honestly, I’m kinda stoked. Not that anyone asked, but this one’s packed with five fresh games. I mean, there’s a joke-writing thing, some cozy drawing deal—I love those—and a sound effects game. Imagine making noises and calling it a game! Then there’s a social deduction game and, get this, a trivia RPG called Legends of Trivia. Yeah, trivia with monsters. Who knew?
Speaking of Legends of Trivia, it’s got this fantasy vibe going on. Basically, you team up with friends, answer trivia questions, and take down monsters. But, oh, if you mess up, those monsters bite back. I had a chat with the crew behind this beauty—Warren Arnold, Hector Padilla, and Nate Sandberg. They’re the real MVPs, honestly.
Warren was saying how the game flows. You know, answer right—bam! A monster takes a hit. Get it wrong—oops, it smacks you. Gotta team up, build points, and aim to be “Legendary.” Sounds pretty intense, right?
Hector mentioned he had this idea, like, six years ago. Crazy, right? It was his baby, first prototype and all. Spent all these years gathering dust, until Nate hit him up out of nowhere, real talk. Next thing, boom, it’s game on. Talk about a journey!
Anyway, the game’s got some wild art and sound. Nate’s really into Final Fantasy music—that 8-bit stuff. He mixed in some analog synths and all these random instruments. A trombone! Who does that? Then added goofy sound effects. Classic Nate.
Hector’s a Pokémon art fanboy, no surprises there. Character design is his jam, but UI? Different story. He got deep into designing Azura, The Princess Mage, and also Bingo, The Rogue Jester. Clowns, man—either you love ’em or you run from ’em.
Oh, and that ogre boss sounds wild. It’s on this tiny donkey. Nate went all out with xylophones and squeaky toys for it. Ridiculously funny, if you ask me.
So yeah, hope this game hits people right in the nostalgia feels, you know? Make ’em feel like every choice matters. And maybe, just maybe, some tunes will stick in their heads, old-school RPG style. Jackbox Party Pack 11’s dropping this fall on Xbox. You can keep tabs via Jackbox Games on Insta and TikTok, if that’s your thing. Cheers!
