Oh man, where do I even start? So there’s this game — The Last Hero: Journey to the Unknown — and it’s like you’re diving into this 2D fantasy world. Imagine magical lands, evil wizards, and all that jazz. But not just any wizard, right? This one’s called Wizard Voidgem. Voidgem, like, is this some random fantasy name generator stuff? I digress. Anyway, Voidgem’s causing chaos by stealing magical relics, unleashing his minions, and now you’re the hero who’s gotta step up. Sword in hand, shield at the ready. Adventure time, huh?
Anyway, or wait, lemme backtrack. So you get to bounce around in these 30+ levels, collecting items to slap bosses with. So many buttons, ya know? Jump here, slash there. Attacked by pressing Square — heard anyone call a button “Square” when in battle? Nope. Plus, you got a shield, because duh, defense! And this cool power that charges as you play — not like you’ll remember to use it when you’re overwhelmed by baddies. R1 to roll, R2 dash. Why are there so many buttons again?
And then there’s gold. Not like in your grandma’s jewelry box. More like coins in the game — enemies drop them as you squash ’em. Use them for upgrades, you know, like Hot Meteors or Double Shot. Sounds epic, right? Maybe too epic, idk. Then you got gems to purchase potions. But get this, more health = more gems. Strategy? Perhaps. But personally, I’d just rush through hoping luck’s on my side.
Maybe you’re into trophies. You get a Platinum trophy here. That must be fancy. Oh, did I mention the game’s Cross-Buy? Pay once, get it for PS4 and PS5. Yeah, that’s the deal. Trophies everywhere, like confetti at a digital parade. You defeat 100 enemies, buy a power, et voila!
So there you have it. You’re on an adventure, kinda heroic, kinda chaotic. Just you against Wizard Voidgem’s havoc. I guess that’s what you call a good time in gaming, right? Or maybe not. Anyway, go check it out — it’s only a few bucks. Ratalaika Games throws in the magic, you bring the heroics. Let’s just hope Wizard Voidgem doesn’t turn into some running joke.
