Man, ever find yourself standing in the middle of something like, totally random, and suddenly you see a dude with a massive warhammer and think, “Yeah, this makes sense here”? That’s pretty much the Fighters Guild vibe in Oblivion, especially with that badass, Gogron gro-Bolmog – dude just smashing stereotypes for fun. I might ditch my sneaky archer shtick to join in, who knows.
Anyway, so I recently stumbled upon this mod by ColdTyrant. Just yesterday, there was a cool mod for the Dark Brotherhood, letting you off, you know, endlessly killing folks and getting all this gacha stuff like a collector’s dream. I swear, the next day, boom! New mod. This one brings chaos to the Fighters Guild – I think they battle tree sap lovers or something.
Alright, hang on. What’s it called? ‘Fighter’s Guild – Infinitum’. Sounds epic, right? Adds like, 100 or maybe more, monstrous hunting gigs you can just keep doing. Rinse and repeat. Handy if, like me, you get bored just staring at Oblivion’s sunsets (which, honestly, shouldn’t happen but it does).
So, picture this: you’re given these random notes sending you off to slay beasts in dungeons all over Cyrodiil. It’s like saying, “Go fetch that glowing beast and, here’s your gold, you lovely murder hobo!” But, hey, not a single trace of that Morrowindy gacha flavor in the loot? Bummer. You just walk away with 500 gold per hunt and some ‘Fighter’s Commendations’ – which is fancy mod-speak for “special stuff you can barter at this newly added guild store.”
Oh, and get this, ColdTyrant decided you can crash at the Leyawiin guildhall top floor by swapping NPC routines. Sweet digs for a level-up, right? Maybe they thought it was kinda bare without those options. Plus, you could make a new character like that dude from The Witcher – Gerry, was it? Face it, in Oblivion, everyone’s avatar looks weird enough to get a second glance, so why not?
Wanna try this mod? Just nab the essentials: Oblivion Remastered’s, um, UE4SS thingamajig and the TesSyncMapInjector. And word on the street (well, the mod page’s comments) hints ColdTyrant’s cooking up a similar gig for the Imperial City’s Arena.
If you dive into the Fighters Guild, say ‘hi’ to Modryn Oreyn for me. Catch ya later, especially if you’re diving into all the Oblivion Remastered mods out there. Keep it cool and slightly chaotic!
