Intel’s kinda just pulled the plug on Deep Link tech. Yep, no fresh updates anytime soon. This was supposed to be their magic trick when they rolled out the Arc Alchemist in 2022, but eh, things change.
Someone on GitHub, not an official announcement or anything, breaks the news. Some guy called Zack-Intel mentioned it in a thread. He said, “No updates coming, folks. That’s that.” SapphireDrew asked for help on GitHub, wrestling with Deep Link using OBS Studio. OBS chimed in, “Not our fault, blame the drivers.” Then Zack pops up a month later with, “Yep, it’s discontinued.” Bummer, right? Especially for those who snagged the Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs expecting a sweet performance boost. So much for their 11th gen CPU + Arc graphic card dreams.
Remember, Deep Link was hyped as the hero to boost gaming, streaming, all that jazz. Now? Not so much. Deep Link was all about making CPU and GPU work in harmony. Dynamic Power Share, Hyper Encode, all those fancy features aimed to make tasks smoother, but now, who knows? Without updates, compatibility’s gonna be a headache. Intel, huh? They really built this to work only with their chips, no love for AMD or NVIDIA users. With support dropped, issues will linger, unfixed, just there to bug you.
Crazy, right? Tech world’s full of surprises.
