So, there’s this major update today for Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders. First off, you got this Trick Mode thing and, oh, they’re bringing Free Ride Mode back. Pretty neat, right? And guess what — there’s a bunch of new accessibility tweaks too. Let me ramble about it.
More than a million folks have been swooshing down these mountains since January. A million! It’s nuts. Megagon Industries — never heard of ’em, but they seem pumped. Dropped this big update called Freestyle today. Boom! You’re getting over 100 new challenges. Like, what am I supposed to do with all these? Maybe win? Or maybe just wipe out spectacularly. Who knows?
Alright, Trick Mode — that’s where you get all fancy on the run. Flips, spins, whatever. Points are cool, but sometimes I imagine just cruising and then, oops, gravity takes over. You gotta think differently to conquer those leaderboards, you know? Kind of like, should I even try? Maybe I’ll just enjoy the crashes.
Oh yeah, Free Ride Mode! Remember that? They threw it back into the mix. Just you, the mountain, and face-planting without the annoying checkpoints. But if you crash? Bam, back to the start. Gotta love a bit of masochism.
They’ve got leaderboards and new achievements. Oh, and, huge news! You can max out without playing multiplayer. Because, let’s be honest, who wants to face off against some random online pro when you’re just trying not to accidentally eat snow? Well, maybe someone does. Not judging.
Oh, the accessibility stuff. This is cool! Auto-brake, auto-accelerate. It’s like, hey, play the game how you want. Maybe you got tired fingers? Now, you can just toggle things. Also, button mapping! Basically, if you want to play with a mouse and a keyboard, go for it. You do you, buddy.
Megagon hopes everyone’s gonna dig it. Easier for everyone now, right? Whatever skill level. They’re probably buzzing to see what kinds of epic tricks and wipeouts you share with them.
Anyway, I’ve rambled on enough. Hopefully, you’re off to snowboard the virtual hills, busting moves, or at least attempting to not crash too often. Wild stuff.
Cheers, Daniel & The Megagons. (I think they said bye. At least, I hope that’s how they signed off.)
