Alright, so I stumbled across this news bit about some game – Super Robot Wars Y. Yeah, just another one of those Bandai Namco Entertainment things. Anyway, there’s a demo hanging out on the Nintendo eShop for Switch right now. Pretty rad, huh?
Oh, and get this, you can mess around with the first chapter. And if you’re into keeping progress – because who isn’t – your saves carry over when the full game drops. They even tossed in some shiny rewards for wrapping up that chapter. Nice touch if you ask me. Or maybe it’s just bait. Who knows?
So, Super Robot Wars Y is cooked up by a branch called Bandai Namco Forge Digitals – sounds fancy, right? The game’s like a gathering of anime heroes or whatever, all these characters squished together to fight some common enemy. Teamwork makes the dream work, or something like that.
What’s wild is this series has been kicking around for over 30 years. Whoa, that’s older than some millennials. You need to be all strategic with placing units and launching attacks. It’s all about earning creds and boosting your mechs. New missions always need some beefed-up muscles, I guess. Or maybe that’s just me overthinking things.
A barrage of mechs and series make up the roster: there’s Combattler V, Aura Battler Dunbine – and I don’t even know what any of this means. But fans probably do. There’s Gundam chaos too, like Suit Z Gundam and Char’s Counterattack, which, by the way, sounds pretty hardcore. Let’s not forget Godzilla making a surprise cameo. Why? No clue.
Mark your calendars or scribble on your fridge, ‘cause Super Robot Wars Y is landing on August 28, 2025. Retail, digital, the works. Save the date, if you’re into epic, tactical mech shenanigans. Or, like, don’t. Who am I to tell you how to live, right?
Oh yeah, there’s a trailer floating somewhere on YouTube. Probably worth a peek. Anyway – wait, hold on – did I miss something? Nope. That’s it.
