The characters might start out pretty basic, but they really grow on you.

There’s more to love—new scenes, dialogues. They even threw in some lore tidbits to better connect it with Persona 4 and 5. It’s like an update in all the good ways.

Okay, the visuals. I mean, PS2 had its charm, but this? New graphics are just eye-pleasing, vibrant—like stepping from sketchy to masterpiece. And oh boy, 1080p and 60fps? Like, why didn’t this happen sooner?

Now, gameplay. Pretty traditional turn-based JRPG. Daytime, pretending to be normal students; nighttime, battling through Tartarus and tackling Shadows. Preparing for boss fights is crucial—if not, uh oh, game over.

Learning to juggle social life and monster-hunting is a bit strange. But, once you nail it—boom—addictive fun. Tried and tested, trust me.

Combat? It’s a thrill. Enemies give a fair fight. Characters have pretty slick Personas. Think of super-moves and features like Baton Pass from Persona 5. Fast-paced, engaging stuff. Oh, and no more brain-dead AI. You control everything now. No one to blame but yourself for messing up. Yay?

Yet, a heads up—this isn’t for everyone. Lots of dialogue, story-heavy. Not for the “I-need-action-every-second” folk. You might want to check out something like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (huge discount there as well).
