Okay, so picture this: Decemberborn Interactive just dropped some news that’ll probably tickle the fancy of any Nintendo Switch fan — or, at least, those who love a good adventure, right? They’re working on a new addition to the Cathedral series called "Cathedral: Crow’s Curse." And guess what? It’s more like a side story than a sequel, you know?
This time, you’re in the shoes of Crow. If you’ve ever played the original, you’d remember this dude as a Shade Sentinel. Anyway, the forest he hangs out in has gone a bit wonky. I’m talking spooky, cursed woods vibes. Crow’s got to figure out what’s up with the Sentinel order and the creepers lurking around. Imagine a haunted treasure hunt but with more existential dread.
They say the combat’s all about speed and skill. You gotta watch these enemies like a hawk, or maybe… a crow? Sorry, lame pun. Anyway, it’s about dodging, blocking, and being all ninja-stealthy. Like, do you sneak around all covert-like, or just go all out with a backstab? Decisions, decisions.
Eric Lavesson, the big brain at Decemberborn, chimed in too. And he’s super hyped about the whole deal. He’s all about making games that players, like you and me, actually feel something about. He’s got his heart in this, or so he says. Let’s hope it’s not just PR fluff, you know?
So, what’s the game like? Well, there’s a list of cool stuff. If lists are your thing:
-
Skill Moves: It ain’t button-mashing. Get ready to tango with the baddies, learn their moves, and land precision hits. Sounds almost poetic, right?
-
Open World: Hop around in a world that feels like one big coherent puzzle, not just random levels. Who doesn’t love finding shortcuts that make you go, “Whoa, no way!”
-
Stealth and Shadows: Be a shadow, live in the shadows. Or something like that. Just keep quiet, stay sharp, and pounce.
- Level Up: There are skills and abilities to snag along the way. Who knows, maybe you’ll end up more OP than you expected.
No clue when it’s dropping on the eShop, though. Just the usual “coming soon” tease — classic, right?
And, oh, they’ve got a trailer. I couldn’t exactly embed it here, but it’s floating around on YouTube. Go check it, if you’re into jaw-dropping visuals or just wanna peek at what might be your next gaming obsession.
