Wow. So, like, I just came across this wild info dump from Capcom at the Summer Game Fest 2025, and I’ve got to share it. There’s this funky mix of Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and, oh yeah, Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Crazy, right?

Resident Evil Requiem Unleashed

Okay, so first off, Resident Evil is back. They’re calling it Resident Evil Requiem. And there’s this new character, Grace Ashcroft—sounds kinda detective-y? Anyway, she’s diving into some madness. Survival horror vibes, but more action-packed. No idea where they’re heading with this, but it’s coming out February 27, 2026. Mark it down, I guess.

Street Fighter 6 Characters!

Next, boom, Year 3 of Street Fighter 6! They’re throwing four characters into the mix. Sagat’s back by summer 2025. I mean, that guy’s iconic, right? Then C. Viper—she’s always been into that spy gadget stuff—arrives in fall 2025. Alex pops in during early spring 2026, and Ingrid, who’s kind of a mystery, makes some waves in late spring 2026.

Oh, and they dropped a bomb. Capcom Cup 12 in Japan with a million bucks on the line. Think you can fight? Go sign up.

By the way, if you’re a bit behind, they released something called Street Fighter Years 1-2 Fighters Edition. Probably worth checking out.

Samurai Action Awaits in Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Now, if samurai are more your thing… Onimusha: Way of the Sword has this super intense trailer. It’s set in the Edo period with Miyamoto Musashi wandering through a seriously twisted Kyoto. Sasaki Ganryu is, like, his big rival with some kind of Oni magic glove thingy.

They’ve also got a remastered Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny. Think of Genma, souls, and samurai goodness with updated twists—like auto-save and weapon switching. Want old-school? Grab the Onimusha 1+2 pack. Seriously.

So yeah, just a wild ride from Capcom at the fest. Whether you’re battling zombies, duking it out on the streets, or swinging swords, there’s something bizarre and fun coming your way in 2025 and 2026. Cheers to Capcom for keeping it fresh!
