Okay, so, imagine we’re inching towards the launch of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. It’s like this upcoming big thing, especially if you love those tough-as-nails, Soulslike games. But here’s the twist—it’s got this unique Ming Dynasty vibe. All thanks to Leenzee, a Chinese developer that’s putting together this action-packed RPG.
Anyway, every time folks catch a glimpse of it, they’re all, ‘Yes, please!’ So with launch day on the horizon, Leenzee decided to share a few last-minute details. Approaching July 24, that’s when it hits PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. And hey, it’s on Game Pass from day one. But oh boy, what about the PC setup? Was anyone else clueless about what kind of rig you’d need? I sure was.
So, here’s the thing. Wuchang looks good, like really good, but it’s not trying to push the boundaries like some other games. Black Myth: Wukong, I’m looking at you! This means, luckily, you don’t need a supercomputer to run it. They spilled the beans on the specs you’d need, and I’ll be darned, it’s not that crazy.
The surprise—both specs were tested with that tech magic called DLSS/FSR enabled. No clue what that stands for, but it sounds fancy. Too bad they didn’t mention what resolution or framerate each setup will give you, bit of a bummer, right?
Okay, okay—drumroll for the specs:
Minimum? We’re talking Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, and yep, two sticks of 8GB RAM. Graphics-wise, a GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580 should do it. Feels doable, right? Oh, and get an SSD if you can, but it’ll run on an HDD too.
Now, the recommended setup does bump up a bit—Windows 10/11, an Intel Core i7-9700, or AMD Ryzen 5 5500. Still rocking 16GB RAM, dual channel, naturally. Then you’ve got the RTX 2070 or AMD RX 5700 XT, or maybe even an Intel Arc A750. SSD is a must here, they say.
Besides specs, we’ve got launch times! From Los Angeles, starting July 23 at 7pm, all the way to Sydney on July 24 at noon. How do I even keep track of all these time zones? That’s a topic for another day, I guess.
Overall, looks like we’re set for an epic release. Or maybe that’s just me being overly excited. Either way, it’s going to be wild seeing this one out in the wild!
