How to Unlock Darth Vader in Fortnite

Now, recruiting him—you gotta defeat him first. Doesn’t that sound like one of those movie plots where you gotta earn the right to be alongside the Big Bad? Pretty classic. Bring decent gear and be ready to fight off other players too. It’s not just Vader you’re dealing with.

Vader does his usual dance with lightsabers—jump back if he tries to pull you, don’t get all button-happy when he spins that thing. Beat him, and he opens some portal to Mustafar. You can choose to walk through. Do it, and boom, you get a lightsaber and Vader’s on your crew.

What’s in it for you? Besides, you know, surviving the battle? An Apprentice Lightsaber, not to mention, you can toss it like Vader does. Never knew tossing lightsabers was a thing until now. Plus, you can chat with him using keys you’ve got set up. Bit of trivia—found out other players can hear him talking too! Caught me off guard one time when we were hiding in a bush.
