Absolutely, here it goes:
You ever get so tired your brain turns to mush? That was me. Don’t blame Go Fest, though. It’s more the paranoia about a leak in the news editor’s apartment. I mean, really? Water’s not my friend. Anyway, let’s dive into the chaos of this week. Here we are, the first week of Q3. Usually a snooze-fest thanks to Canada Day and, yeah, a little nod to July 4th. But this week is like… specially slow. No new Switch 2 goodies yet before we pick up steam, and the OG offerings — well, they’re kinda lackluster. We got a new Irem Collection this Wednesday, something about Slender, and a third installment in a series where I’m scratching my head trying to remember if we even caught the second. Seriously, this week feels like we’re just sticking to the contract till Super Mario Strikers or Mario Smash Football, whichever rumbles in first.
Shadowdrops? Let’s hope they’re taking a breather. Last week, oh man, we totally skipped over Crazy Balloon from the Archives. I didn’t even notice. Maybe I was distracted by… I dunno, a dust bunny parade. And if you’re curious about that EggConsole game, good news, you can fumble around in English. Yippee!
North America
Irem Collection Volume 3 is hitting the shelves at $24.99 in the US and $34.99 in the Great White North on Tuesday. Then there’s Slender Threads for $19.99. Can’t say I’m thrilled, but who am I to judge? Poly Bridge 3 pops in at the same price, and then we’ve got No Heroes Here 2 doing its thing on Tuesday too. Oh, and let’s not forget Dead of Darkness on Wednesday. It’s a smorgasbord of… games? I guess.
Some other stuff making an appearance includes Dragon Eclipse, various Aery games — which frankly sound like a blur in my mind — and, uh, Supermarket Manager 2025? Really jumped ahead there. And if you’re feeling artsy, there’s Brain Workout! Find the Difference in Classic Art. Sounds mesmerizing.
Saleswise, Nintendo’s having a summer blowout till July 10, with markdowns on Xenoblade classics and whatnot. Dive into PSPrices or DekuDeals if you want to know more. Or don’t, I’m not your supervisor.
Europe
Crossing the pond, we’ve got Irem Collection Volume 3 running €24.99, or if you’re in the UK, £19.99. Same lineup of Poly Bridge 3 and Slender Threads—bet you’re detecting a pattern. No Heroes Here 2 is jumping in on Tuesday there as well. Honestly, it all starts blurring together.
There are also some quirky titles like Into The Emberlands, Fool’s Pub, and Millionaire Escape. That last one is hitting Saturday, but let’s be honest, we’re not planning a grand escape any time soon.
Japan
Now if you’re in Japan, here’s what’s intriguing: Slender Threads making another appearance at ¥2920. Notice a consistent thread yet? Ha, pun intended. No Heroes Here 2 sits at ¥2000 alongside Dead of Darkness. Aery is swooping in with ‘Titans of the Future’ and some other slabs of interactive whatever. Also, there’s a fun little quiz game, Play and Learn Science Quiz, at ¥980, if that’s y’know, your kind of vibe.
Kinda makes my head spin a bit, thinking about hopping all over the place for these games. Or maybe it’s the coffee finally kicking in. Who knows.
