Survios is at it again, this time bringing a flatscreen twist to Alien: Rogue Incursion. Yeah, you heard right. We’re talking PC and PS5, with something they’re calling the ‘Evolved Edition.’ Feels fancy, doesn’t it?
The game first popped up late last year on PSVR 2 and PC VR, and then Quest 3 in ’25. Reviews? All over the place initially—like, scattered thoughts in a whirlwind. The big deal was this Xenomorph tweaking, you know, shaking things up, making sure every encounter isn’t a carbon copy of the last. Kudos to patches, I guess.
So, Survios has “re-envisioned” — whatever that means — this whole VR gig for those not strapping tech to their faces. September 30, 2025, mark it. Steam and the PlayStation Store are ready to roll.
Now, meets Zula Hendricks, our ex-Colonial Marine heroine. She’s knee-deep in some sketchy Weyland-Yutani lab stuff. Imagine the scene: you and Davis 01, the synth buddy, sneaking around, wielding weapons like you’re in a military-themed treasure hunt, only with aliens in the mix. Sounds like a party, huh? Purdan is where it all goes down.
And hey, just like the VR version, this flatscreen gig is only ‘Part One.’ Survios had the future figured out last year, working on Part Two, jam-packing more danger and mind-bending challenges. Sounds exhausting already.
But, oh wait. When does Part Two drop? Anyone’s guess, really. The studio’s playing coy with the dates, and there’s this mystery about whether VR and non-VR will ever unite like a long-lost pair of socks. Classic game company moves.
Survios isn’t new to this mix-and-match party, though. Back in 2021, they took Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions from VR to flatscreen, shaking up Creed: Rise to Glory’s sweat-drenched feel into a punchy arcade-like brawl fest.
And there we are. It’s a waiting game now, with a side of skepticism and a sprinkle of anticipation. Will Part Two rock socks—or not? Yeah, well, tune in next time and find out.
